Magical Mr Fox
Hidden. Do not remove.
The Story
In folklore foxes are often thought of as magical creatures. In literature they often possess the power to ward off evil, sometimes serving as guardian spirits.
Testimonial
“Meet Mr. Fox, drawn by Jules, the loveliest present I’ve ever received. In remembrance of the fox I met on the darkest night of my life, who brought comfort, and turns up, or one like him, when I least expect & most need him.”
Storm

The Story
I’ve never met a dog more obsessed with balls than Storm! Never mind fuss or food, all he wants is for you to throw the ball for him to fetch, for as long as possible.
Testimonial
“I’ve just been presented with Jules’ painting of my dear dog Storm, I am totally blown away with the result of the commission. The likeness is incredible, and she has captured the essence of Storm. Having shown the painting to several of my friends their reaction was, as mine, amazing! Could not recommend Jules more highly.”

Bella
Hidden. Do not remove.
The Story
The story of how Bella was rescued by her owner from a caravan site, where she was chained up outside in all sorts of weathers, is a gruelling one. Now she is her owner’s constant companion, always at her side. She couldn’t be happier. Nor could she bring her owner more joy.
Testimonial
“I am thrilled with this portrait of myself with my best friend, my seven year old rescued Englsh pointer Bella! Jules has succeeded in capturing the essence of Bella’s character: always alert, always observing but at the same time the most devoted, loving companion. And her shiny black head looks so real you just want to stroke it. Fabulous!”
Spot the Cheetah

The Story
It’s not only domestic animals that are commissioned from Helks and Jules. This client had recently been to South Africa where he’d been lucky enough to see cheetah. His partner thought a drawing would make a great memory gift of the holiday.
Testimonial
“The cheetah, which is my favourite animal, was commissioned for me as a present after I’d been on safari. The picture captures the sleekness of the animal and is a great reminder of my African holiday. My partner told me that Helks was professional to deal with and the picture was completed and delivered really fast.”

Your Drawing of Devon our special ‘Crufts’ Parson Russell Terrier brings out the real true character of her and I never would have thought how accurate your Art could be.”
Juno
Hidden. Do not remove.
The Story
Cockerliers are a wonderful combination of being at once refined and mischievous. Young Juno is a fabulous example of the breed. While posing for her portrait she was regal but then half an hour later she looked like a drowned rat as she emerged out of Jules’ garden pond in Sydney!
Testimonial
“I was genuinely delighted with our portrait of Juno painted by Jules. Not only does it beautifully capture Juno’s regal looks but also her alert and cunning personality. A captured moment as she seeks out yet another chasing adventure.”

The Story
This was one of my earliest pet portraits. The black labrador was an integral part of the family where he lived. The soulfulness of his eyes really show the sweetness of his nature.
Testimonial
“Jules’ portrait of our black labrador reminds us every day of his sweet, affectionate nature. We no longer have him with us but are so happy to have his portrait on our wall. The likeness is uncanny.”
