Neither of us likes to talk about ourselves so we decided to write each other’s bio!

Helks

For as long as I can remember, Helks has had two passions in her life: animals and art. She lives in a hamlet in England where she and her partner have dogs, a beautiful lake which attracts all manner of birds, and a feral cat who calls in for dinner each evening but never stays the night. The love she feels for wildlife and pets is abundantly clear in the pen and ink drawings and portraits she creates. Her artworks are always impeccably drawn but she also brings a quirkiness to her compositions, which can’t help but make you smile. From cheetahs to chihuahuas and lambs to labradors her artworks are always heart-felt and beautiful.

Jules

‘Unique’, ’professional’ and ‘personal’ are three words I think sum up the beautiful art that Jules creates. Whether it’s a one off commission or a painting or drawing from life, each piece has a feeling of great depth, sensitivity and sometimes, when needed, a lovely sense of wit and charm. Every time I see a new piece of art from Jules it genuinely takes my breath away.
